Resignation of Party Members

1. Right to Resign

1.1 Every member of the NFD Party retains the right to resign from the Party at any time.

1.2 Resignation shall be voluntary and free from coercion.

2. Settlement of Party Obligations

4.1 Prior to finalizing the resignation, the member shall settle any outstanding obligations owed to the Party, including but not limited to:

(a) return of party-issued materials or equipment;

(b) settlement of any financial obligations previously undertaken;

(c) compliance with any pending administrative requirements.

4.2 Failure to complete the settlement of obligations shall not invalidate the resignation but may result in administrative action on reclaiming party property.

3. Update of Party Records

5.1 Upon completion of the resignation process, the Secretary-General shall:

(a) remove the member’s name from the Party Membership Register;

(b) where required by law, notify the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) of the member’s resignation.

5.2 The removal from the register shall take effect immediately upon submitting the resignation request.

4. Voluntary Exit Feedback

7.1 The Party may, at its discretion, invite a resigning member to provide feedback regarding their experience with the Party.

7.2 Participation in such feedback shall be voluntary and shall not affect the effectiveness of the resignation.

5. Finality of Resignation

8.1 Once a resignation has taken effect, the individual shall cease to enjoy the rights, privileges, and responsibilities of Party membership.

8.2 Re-admission shall be subject to the Party’s standard membership application procedures.
