Party Interim Leadership

The National Forum for Equity and Development (NFD) is guided by an Interim Leadership Team committed to integrity, equity, and democratic governance. Interim Chairperson Abdullahi Mohamed Hassan provides strategic leadership, supported by Interim Secretary General Kogei Sammy Kiptanui in party administration and coordination, and Interim Treasurer Njaramba Esther Wanjiku, who ensures accountable and transparent financial management in line with the party’s values of Usawa na Maendeleo.

Chairperson

Abdullahi Mohamed Hassan is the Interim Chairperson of the National Forum for Equity and Development (NFD). They bring extensive experience in leadership, governance, and community development, having served in various professional and civic roles. A seasoned program management professional, Abdullahi has worked closely with communities and institutions to promote inclusive decision-making, accountability, and equitable development. Their leadership is guided by a strong commitment to integrity, national unity, and service to the people. As Chairperson, Abdullahi provides strategic oversight to the party and is committed to upholding the Political Parties Act, the party constitution, and the values of Usawa na Maendeleo.

Kogei Sammy Kiptanui
Secretary General

Kogei Sammy Kiptanui serves as the Interim Secretary General of the National Forum for Equity and Development (NFD). They have solid experience in administration, coordination, and organizational management, with a professional background in Political Science. Kogei has previously held leadership roles that required strong planning, communication, and compliance skills. As Secretary General, they are responsible for the day-to-day administration of the party, coordination of party structures, and maintenance of official records in line with statutory requirements. Kogei is committed to transparency, accountability, and strengthening democratic practices within the party and across the country.

Njaramba Esther Wanjiku
Treasurer

Njaramba Esther Wanjiku is the Interim Treasurer of the National Forum for Equity and Development (NFD). They have a background in Business Information Technology and experience in financial management, budgeting, and accountability. Esther has worked in roles that required prudent resource management and adherence to financial regulations. As Treasurer, they oversee the party’s financial systems, ensure proper use of resources, and support compliance with the Political Parties Act and other relevant laws. Esther is committed to promoting financial discipline, transparency, and responsible stewardship in support of the party’s objectives and values.
